Cid Gonçalves holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2001), a masters degree in information science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1996). He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1983). He was Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies, Research and Extension at Fumec University 2014-2015, having participated in the development of the PDI Institutional Development Plan. During this period, he managed the international relations sector, making agreements with research partners. He has served as Coordinator of Undergraduate courses since 1987, including more recently the Computer Engineering Course (2017-2020, Concept 5), having participated in the evaluation process by the MEC. He is the coordinator of the Master’s and Academic Doctorate Program in Administration at the University Concept 4 (grade) by CAPES, for the third time. He has also been a professor and coordinator of Distance Learning and MBA programs since 1985 (about 34 programs). He has been a professor in the Doctoral and masters Program in Academic Administration at FUMEC since 2004. He has been the leader of the 8 Marketing Anpad theme for 5 years, and leader of theme 1 Consumer behavior. Co-founder of CBRA – Consumer-Brand Relationship Association USA. He was a curator, providing space and organizing the EMA 2017 within FUMEC and I SEIPEX MG 2024. He works in international research groups with professors Prof Dr Hans Rüdiger Kaufmann which resulted in 5 research and publications, one in the Journal of Business Review. He also works in association with Professor Marc Fetscherin United States (research project) that resulted in 3 publications, one in the Journal of Product and Brand Management and another in the Journal of Consumer Marketing (2023) in addition to events and a book chapter (Palgrave Macmillan). The CNPq research group that he leads has been working since 2006 years ago has two graduates of the Fumec Doctorate, supervised by me, with professors at PUC PERU Centrum and Universidad de La Sabana, Colombia, as well as a foreign member Prof. Ernst Verwaal, from the Netherlands, Prof. Plinio Reis (UFMG) and Prof. Paulo Baptista (PUC PR). He has issued technical opinion for CAPES and FUNADESP. He was a one-month visiting professor at MIT and served as a research assistant at NESTBOSTON, associated with the PIRP Harvard University Project. He worked on large PD projects as a coordinator with Cemig (4). He has experience in Administration, with an emphasis on Marketing and Strategy, working mainly on the following topics: strategic marketing, brands, consumer behavior, digital marketing and CX/CS. He has 75 publications in journals, 11 books, 11 chapters, participated in more than 100 Master’s and Doctorate boards, 69 completed master’s supervisions (59 in mest. He has nineteen years of professional experience in the Financial and Telecommunications sectors. He worked at Telemig/Telemar, from 1997 to 2001, as a Business Performance Evaluation Consultant, in the Business Planning and Development Department, belonging to the Vice Presidency of Organizational Operations, as well as in the Corporate Clients Business Unit, as a Senior Marketing and Sales Planning Analyst. He also worked in the National Financial System, at the Bank of the State of Minas Gerais from 1983 to 1997, as Head of Service, Branch Business Manager, Operational Technical Analyst, Internal Cost Optimization Consultant, Credit Analyst, and Senior Economic-Financial Analyst. She was a Fulbrigth alumni in 1985, a postdoctoral fellow in business internationalization at the University of Cambridge (1992). She was Professor Emeritus at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, NL from 2013-2024. She was a full professor at UFMG, the University of Birmingham-UK (2005-2009), Erasmus University-NL. He is a Fellow of St. John’s College, University of Cambridge. She is currently a professor of International Management and Business Administration at UnB and Fumec-PDMA University. He develops research in international business management, corporate governance and organizational co-evolution. He regularly publishes articles in highly reputable international journals. In 2009, he obtained the Terry Book Award from the Academy of Management for his contributions to the development of management science. He has teaching and research experience in several universities abroad such as England, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Canada, China and Portugal. He was a member of the Portuguese Science Foundation. He is a member of the editorial board of Organization Studies. He has received several awards for his contribution to the development of Management Science at the national and international levels.
