Overview

The Professional Master’s Degree in Construction Processes at FUMEC University (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) is a stricto sensu program authorized by CAPES (Engenharias I). It focuses on high-level training for engineers and architects, bridging the gap between academic research and the technological demands of the construction industry.

The program is structured into two main research lines:

Research Line Focus Areas
1. Materials and Construction ProcessesInnovative and conventional materials, durability, cost reduction, waste management, and climate-resilient structures.
2. Sustainability and Urban InfrastructureSustainable urban fabric, energy efficiency, and engineering software, aligned with 7 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, and 17).

Faculty & Leadership

  • Coordinator: Prof. Dr. Edna Alves Oliveira (PhD in Structural Engineering – UFMG).
  • Criteria: Faculty members are evaluated every 24 months based on CAPES Engenharias I productivity standards, ensuring high-quality scientific and technical output.
